Smash Mouth formed in San Jose, California in 1994. Known for their blend of ska, surf-rock, and pop-punk, they achieved massive international fame with the 1997 hit “Walkin’ on the Sun” and the ubiquitous 1999 single “All Star”. The group originally consisted of lead vocalist Steve Harwell, guitarist Greg Camp, bassist Paul De Lisle, and drummer Kevin Coleman. They solidified their place in pop culture after their cover of The Monkees’ “I’m a Believer” was featured in the 2001 blockbuster film Shrek. Founding frontman Steve Harwell retired from touring in 2021 due to health issues and sadly passed away in 2023. Following his departure, the band enlisted veteran vocalist Zach Goode to take over lead singing duties. Today, bassist Paul De Lisle remains the sole original member in the active touring lineup, which also includes Michael Klooster, Randy Cooke, and Sean Hurwitz. Smash Mouth remains highly active in the music industry, bringing their classic energy to fans worldwide. As they continue to tour, they are also preparing new music to carry their legacy
