Matt Ruby

Matt Ruby is a standup comedian from New York City and his debut album is "hot his debut album is "Hot Flashes" (released by 800 Pound Gorilla Records). Ruby brings his honest yet biting perspective to jokes about relationships, politics, race, religion, technology, and sex. He performs regularly at the legendary Comedy Cellar in NYC and is also the creator of Vooza, a video comic strip about the tech world (called the "The Spinal Tap of startups" by Mashable). He co-produces Hot Soup, one of the hottest live comedy shows in New York City. He’s also the creator and co-host of the annual Schtick or Treat show, one of the biggest comedy events of the year in NYC and LA. He's been seen on MTV's “Girl Code” and NBC/Seeso’s “The Comedy Show Show” and he is in regular rotation on Sirius XM. He's also been featured on CNN, The Huffington Post, NY Magazine, Time Out NY ("Joke of the Year" nominee), ComedySmack (Winner of Best Web Short of the Year), Splitsider, and more. He's also appeared across the country at comedy venues and festivals including SXSW, Bridgetown, NY Comedy Contest, San Francisco Comedy Contest, Boston Comedy Festival, and the New Orleans Comedy and Arts Festival.
