BIOGRAPHy

Lenny Marcus is one of the fastest rising stars on the New York comedy scene after, among other things, tearing it up recently on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Lenny has also appeared on  CBS’ The Late Show 3x, The Montreal Comedy Festival, NBC’s “Friday Night,” MTV’s “The Jim Breuer Show” and “Comedy Showcase” with Louie Anderson. Lenny is a regular at The World Famous Comedy Cellar, The Gotham Comedy Club and Carolines on Broadway. Lenny is also a familiar face to readers of US Weekly Magazine as a contributing writer for the Fashion Police.

Career Path

2005Became a regular at the Comedy Cellar, Gotham Comedy Club, and Carolines on Broadway, building his reputation as a mainstay of the New York City club scene.
2012Appeared on FX's 'Louie' and Comedy Central's 'Inside Amy Schumer,' two of the highest-profile stand-up showcase vehicles of the decade.
2015Made his debut on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,' his first national late-night stand-up set, which he followed with multiple appearances on CBS's 'The Late Show'.
2017Contributed fashion commentary as a regular writer for US Weekly Magazine's Fashion Police section, expanding his media footprint beyond stand-up.
2019Appeared at the Montreal Comedy Festival, performing on one of North America's most competitive international showcase stages.
2020Served as co-executive producer and head writer on Leslie Jones's ABC revival of 'Supermarket Sweep,' which premiered and became a breakout hit for the network.
2021Collaborated with Leslie Jones on the MTV Movie and TV Awards and NBC's New Year's Eve live broadcast from Times Square, appearing alongside her as writer and performer.
2022Featured in TruTV's 'TruInside' episode spotlighting the world-famous Comedy Cellar, where he appears as a regularly featured performer.
2024Traveled internationally with Leslie Jones as touring writer and performer, taking the partnership built on 'Supermarket Sweep' to live audiences around the world.
