In 1994, The Offspring released Smash. The critically acclaimed album, also the band’s most successful, debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 Albums chart and produced three hit singles in “Come Out and Play,” “Self Esteem” and “Gotta Get Away.” The album was certified six-times platinum and became Epitaph’s best-selling album of all time. 1997 saw the release of their major-label debut, Ixnay on the Hombre. Although not as successful as Smash, Ixnay sold over five million copies. Next, the band released Americana, which debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and produced two of their biggest hits, “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)” and “Why Don’t You Get a Job?”. 2005 saw the release of the band’s first compilation album, Greatest Hits. It contained 13 of the band’s hits and two previously never released songs, “Can’t Repeat” and a cover of The Police’s “Next to You.” The band’s album, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace, was released in 2008. In 2012, they released Days Go By. To date, The Offspring have sold well over 45 million copies worldwide and continue to tour.
