Theo Von

Comedian and podcast host Theo Von is perhaps best known for his eccentric southern charm.  Von initially gained public recognition in 2000 as a cast member on MTV’s Road Rules: Maximum Velocity Tour. He successfully transitioned into full-time stand-up comedy, releasing popular comedy specials like No Offense and Regular People on Netflix. His career reached massive heights as the creator and host of the wildly popular weekly podcast This Past Weekend. Fueled by millions of monthly listeners, Von’s signature formatting blends offbeat, stream-of-consciousness storytelling with empathetic interactions from regular callers. His cultural impact expanded significantly after hosting high-profile long-form interviews with major political figures, cultural icons, and musicians. In recognition of his broad digital reach, Time magazine named him to its prestigious “TIME100 Creators” list, honoring the world’s most influential digital voices. Career Path

2000Appeared on MTV's Road Rules: Maximum Velocity Tour at nineteen, launching his television career after auditioning at an open casting call while attending Louisiana State University.
2006Competed on Last Comic Standing season four on NBC and won the companion online contest Last Comic Downloaded, an early national showcase for his stand-up.
2011Launched his first podcast, The Comedy Sideshow, taping weekly interviews with fellow comedians above the Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles.
2016Released his debut Netflix special, No Offense, filmed at the Civic Theatre in New Orleans, his hometown market for stand-up.
2016Debuted This Past Weekend, his flagship storytelling and interview podcast, on December 19, building the audience base that would carry his career.
2018Co-launched King and the Sting with Brendan Schaub, the podcast debuting at number one on the iTunes charts in the US, UK, and Canada.
2021Released his second Netflix special, Regular People, filmed at Nashville's historic Ryman Auditorium, trading club sets for a full concert hall.
2024Interviewed then-candidate Donald Trump on This Past Weekend at his Bedminster golf club, an hourlong conversation on addiction and health care that drew national attention.
2024Headlined the Return of the Rat arena tour, playing sold-out stops at venues including Kansas City's T-Mobile Center and Spokane Arena.
2025Taped a new stand-up special at New York's Beacon Theatre on September 27, his third project for Netflix following No Offense and Regular People.
