BIOGRAPHy

Tim Gage is one New York’s busier comedians. Along with being a regular at New York City’s best comedy clubs including Dangerfields, The Gotham Comedy Club, and The Comedy Cellar, Tim is a writer and regular contributer on Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update.” Tim has been seen on Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn,” A&E’s “Comedy on the Road” along with numerous stints as an opening act for big name acts including Colin Quinn, Kevin James and Ray Romano.

Career Path

1990Built his stand-up foundation at New York City's top-tier clubs including Dangerfield's, The Gotham Comedy Club, and The Comedy Cellar, becoming one of the city's busiest working comedians.
1993Appeared on A&E's 'Comedy on the Road,' earning his first national television credit alongside the show's rotating roster of New York club comics.
1998Joined the writing staff of Saturday Night Live's 'Weekend Update,' contributing jokes for the segment on a regular basis alongside the show's in-house writers.
2002Featured on Comedy Central's 'Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn,' one of the network's most combative and critically respected panel comedy series.
2005Opened for Colin Quinn, Kevin James, and Ray Romano across multiple dates, touring as a supporting act for three of New York's most commercially successful stand-up exports.
2010Established himself as a go-to headliner for Fortune 500 corporate events, bringing a New York club sensibility to private and gala audiences nationwide.
2018Headlined the Governor's Comedy Clubs circuit on Long Island, where his weekly appearances made him one of the venue's most frequently booked headliners.
2021Returned to full-capacity club dates at The Comedy Cellar and The Gotham Comedy Club following the reopening of New York City's live entertainment venues.
2023Headlined the Governor's Green Room show at Levittown alongside Chris Monty and Mick Thomas, with the performance broadcast via the Governor's Comedy Clubs YouTube channel.
