“When light ceases to exist and darkness consumes the theatre, three glowing figures materialize from the void.”

What started out as an idea for a University fund raiser and talent show quickly transformed into a TV and internet sensation. Fighting Gravity’s play on the backlight manipulation of colors, shapes and characters quickly gained worldwide attention thanks to their being finalists on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”  Following their success on AGT while also completing a nationwide tour, Fighting Gravity has become one of the most sought-after live performance groups in the country—performing with platinum-selling recording artists such as Will.i.am and Jennifer Lopez, appearing on “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve”, and catering to a myriad of domestic and international corporate and private clients worldwide.

 

Career Path

2009Founded at Virginia Tech by members of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, transforming a campus fundraiser concept into a blacklight illusion performance act.
2010Finished third on NBC's 'America's Got Talent' Season 5, with their blacklight puppeteer illusion routines drawing a nationwide television audience.
2011Toured the country as a headline act on the 'America's Got Talent Live' tour following their top-three finish, performing for hundreds of thousands of fans.
2012Appeared on 'Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve' on ABC, bringing their blacklight spectacle to one of television's highest-profile annual broadcasts.
2013Shared the stage with Jennifer Lopez at the American Music Awards, contributing their signature blacklight illusion choreography to the broadcast performance.
2014Performed alongside Will.i.am on a major concert production, reinforcing their reputation as the go-to visual performance collaborators for platinum-selling recording artists.
2015Headlined high-profile international technology expos in Asia, where their blend of blacklight manipulation and illusion theater captivated corporate and public audiences alike.
