Randy Rainbow

Randy Rainbow (yes, real name) is a comedian, actor, writer, host and Internet sensation best known for his viral comedy videos. His popular series of political spoofs and song parodies have garnered international acclaim and over a hundred million views. He’s been called “the best thing about the 2016 GOP race” by Dan Savage and his musical tribute to the first presidential debate of 2016 (“BRAGGADOCIOUS!”) received 28 million views in its first two days. He was subsequently asked by the cast of TV’s Will & Grace to parodizea song which they performed during a political fundraiser for the 2016 election. Randy has also written for comedian Kathy Griffin and hosted and performed in numerous theatrical events for the Broadway, cabaret and gay communities, as well as for the Tony Awards and some of New York City’s most popular night spots including 54 Below, Birdland Jazz Club, XL Nightclub and Therapy NYC where his own weekly show ran for two years. He’s been seen as a talking head on VH1 and has been heard regularly as both a guest and co-host on Sirius XM Radio. He is the creator and star of the long-running BroadwayWorld.com web series Chewing the Scenery with Randy Rainbow and Last Minute with Randy Rainbow.

2016Musical spoof 'BRAGGADOCIOUS!', a send-up of the first presidential debate, amassed 28 million views in its first two days, with Dan Savage calling Rainbow 'the best thing about the 2016 GOP race,' while the cast of TV's 'Will & Grace' enlisted him to parody a song for a political fundraiser.
2019Earned his first Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series for 'The Randy Rainbow Show,' validating his transition from Broadway-adjacent cabaret act to mainstream political satirist.
2021Received his third consecutive Emmy nomination, now in the combined Outstanding Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series category, as 'The Randy Rainbow Show' became a reliable fixture in the Emmy conversation across four straight years.
2021Released his debut full-length studio album 'A Little Brains, A Little Talent,' featuring Broadway standards and original parodies alongside guest turns from Patti LuPone, Bernadette Peters, Tituss Burgess, Josh Gad, and Sean Hayes.
2021'A Little Brains, A Little Talent' earned a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, making Rainbow one of the few internet-born comedians to receive nominations at both the Emmys and the Grammys.
2022Published the memoir 'Playing with Myself,' a New York Times bestseller recounting his personal life and unconventional rise from weekly Therapy NYC residency to internet phenomenon.
2023Headlined the 'Randy Rainbow for President' national tour, bringing his live show to theaters across the United States on his largest touring footprint to date.
2025Launched the 'National Freakin' Treasure Tour' with dates beginning at Washington DC's Warner Theatre, coinciding with the release of his children's book 'Randy Rainbow and the Marvelously Magical Pink Glasses' from Feiwel & Friends.
