With over 20 years of experience, Yohay Sponder brings his unique outlook on life to the stage. Having gained a massive following on social media, Yohay most recently finished up a sold-out tour in the US with his new show “Self Loving Jew”. In his show, Sponder talks about self love, identity and faith. Yohay’s humor, smart wit and unapologetic attitude are the perfect antidote for even the toughest of times. He truly believes he can cure the world’s troubles one laugh at a time… but this time the joke’s on him!

Career Path

2003Began performing stand-up comedy in Israel, building a reputation across local clubs before pivoting toward English-language material.
2012Co-launched 'Funny Monday, Israeli Comedy in English' in Tel Aviv with comedian Hason, creating one of Israel's earliest and largest recurring English-language stand-up platforms.
2016Performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, introducing his voice to international audiences and building the overseas following that would fuel later world tours.
2019Released the stand-up special 'Antisemitism' on YouTube, using dark comedy and self-aware provocation to explore Jewish identity for a global digital audience.
2024Launched the international 'Self-Loving Jew' tour across North America and Europe, anchoring the show in themes of identity, faith, and self-love amid widespread antisemitism.
2024Headlined the New York Comedy Festival at The Town Hall, bringing his 'Self-Loving Jew' show to one of New York's most storied comedy stages.
2024Shared the stage with Jay Leno at a Los Angeles benefit for the Koby Mandell Foundation, a charity supporting families of children affected by terror.
2025Performed 'Self-Loving Jew' at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, extending the sold-out North American run into a second year of touring.
2025Brought 'Self-Loving Jew' to the Newman Center at the University of Denver, extending the North American campus and performing-arts circuit run into a second full year.
